Plus, his high school football coach was no other than his father, Bill Renner.<\/p>\n<p>Bill had also been a pro footballer back in the day when he was the punter for the Green Bay Packers from 1985\u20131987.<\/p>\n<p>As a high school senior, Bryn had thrown for 3,123 yards and scored 35 touchdowns. This caught the attention of recruiters on a collegiate level, and Bryn quickly became a national star.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, SuperPrep Magazine named him the \u2018All-American high school recruit.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>After finishing high school, Bryn enrolled at the University of North Carolina in 2009.<\/strong>\u00a0He was soon playing as the college\u2019s team <a href=\"https:\/\/goheels.com\/sports\/football\/roster\/bryn-renner\/12022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tar Heels\u2019 starting quarterback<\/a>, but started out playing backup to T.J.
