Dustin Johnson is an American golfer who has won not one PGA championship, but two: the 2016 U.S. Open and the 2020 Masters Tournament (in which he received a record score of 268). However, he has since left the PGA Tour and instead now plays at LIV Golf.
But what equipment is Dustin using to perform at such a high level? I, for one, had to find out! Can you add one of these top clubs to your bag?
Without any further ado, here is Dustin Johnson’s WITB.

Dustin Johnson’s Driver: TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus
To kick off WITB for Dustin Johnson we’ll discuss his driver. After success with the SIM2 Max, Dustin made the switch to the TaylorMade Stealth Plus. He then upgraded to the new version, the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus. Dustin Johnson’s driver shaft, however, remains unchanged, he is using the Fujikura Speeder 661 X prototype shaft.
Dustin’s preference for both his old driver and the current driver is 10.5° of loft. However, you can pick up the Stealth 2 Plus at 8° or 9° as well. You also have three different stiffness options. As for Dustin Johnson’s club length, it measures 45.75″ which is exactly what one would expect given he is rather tall at 6 ft 3″.
The club head is shaped to improve forgiveness. What’s more, the Asymmetric Inertia Generator is aerodynamically optimized to raise MOI and promote a flawless ball launch.
For those interested, we have a review of one of the earlier models, the Stealth Driver. You can read that here.
Specs:
- Loft options: 8°, 9°, and 10.5°
- Project X HZRDUS Black Gen 4 or Mitsubishi Kai’li Red
- Flex options: 3
Dustin Johnson’s 3 Wood: TaylorMade Stealth 2 3-Wood
As for Dustin Johnson’s fairway wood, he uses the TaylorMade Stealth 2 3 wood. It employs a 3D Carbon Crown with laser alignment for ultimate precision. Like the Stealth Plus 2, the weight is repositioned towards the bottom of the head to minimize twisting and promote a good clean stroke.
Specs:
- Loft options: 16°, 19°, 22°
- LA Golf Prototype shaft
- Flex options: 3
Dustin Johnson’s 7 Wood: TaylorMade Stealth
Dustin uses a TaylorMade Stealth 21° club for his 7 wood which is marginally below his hybrid in terms of loft.
Specs:
- Loft: 21°
- La Golf shaft
- Flex options: 8
- 12 length options: -2” to +2”

Dustin Johnson’s Hybrid: TaylorMade Stealth Rescue
The inclusion of a hybrid in Dustin’s setup gives him a little more choice for when neither his 7 wood nor iron fits the bill. Although we should note there is little difference between it and the 7 wood. Both the loft and shaft are very similar.
Specs:
- Loft options: 19°, 22°, 25°, 28°, 31°
- Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 95 6.5
- Flex options: 9
- 12 length options: -2” to +0.75”
Dustin Johnson’s Iron: TaylorMade P730 DJ Proto
Dustin Johnson’s iron specs include the TaylorMade P730 DJ Protos with True Temper X100 shafts. These are the same shafts he used in his early career. This again shows that while Dustin likes to experiment with new equipment, he often reverts to the same gear.
The P730 DJ Protos were developed for tour players worldwide. They are the pinnacle of TaylorMade engineering.

- KBS Hi-Rev 120 S Black

Dustin Johnson’s Putter: TaylorMade Spider Itsy Bitsy Tour Limited Black
Determining the putter is probably the most challenging aspect of DJ’s WITB — this is because he is constantly experimenting with different putters. It’s like a conveyor belt! He was recently spotted using a TP Bandon 1 but Dustin Johnson’s putter in 2023 has reverted to his TaylorMade Spider Itsy Bitsy Tour Limited Black. He uses this with an LA Golf shaft.
The Spider features an assortment of hosels, sightlines, and toe hangs to prepare you for any stroke.
Specs:
- Shaft size: 34”, 35”
- Standard grip
- Standard length
Dustin Johnson’s Grips: Golf Pride Tour Velvet 58 R
The Golf Pride Tour Velvet is the top grip choice for players around the world, so it is no wonder that Dustin Johnson uses it. It features a revolutionary rubber compound with a non-slip surface for the utmost comfort, grip, and control.
Dustin Johnson’s Golf Balls: TaylorMade TP5X
The TaylorMade TP5X is among the most popular balls for skilled golf players. It may cost more than a lot of the competition, but the 5-star average review rating on Amazon speaks for itself.
The TP5X has a bigger and more potent core than previous balls. This leads to greater efficiency from your swing to the ball resulting in greater distance coverage.

Dustin Johnson’s Gloves: TaylorMade TP
Made from AAA Cabretta leather, you’ll struggle to find a more comfortable glove for golf. The leather is ultra-thin and expertly shaped to give you a perfectly fitting glove that doesn’t diminish your feeling during strokes. It’s also moisture-wicking, so it performs well in hot conditions.
Dustin Johnson’s Shoes: Adidas ZG21
Dustin sports many different Adidas shoes, but currently, he is wearing the Adidas ZG21s. They are clean-looking lightweight footwear that provides plenty of cushioning while making you feel low to the ground to help you generate power.
Dustin Johnson’s Apparel: Adidas
Adidas sponsors Dustin Johnson alongside several other brands. As a result, he almost always wears Adidas apparel when he is out on the green.
